A real collector’s item. In July 2020 Ulrich Drechsler (tenor saxophone), Alex Deutsch (drums) and Oliver Steger (double bass) performed at the Vienna based Supersense the very first Phonocut Session. The Phonocut is the world’s first home vinyl recorder.
Only 99 copies of this hand-cut 10″ phono-cut record will be available . The edition includes 3 songs from the Cafe Drechsler live-session from July 19th in the SUPERSENSE palace + a polaroid from the session + the groove that was cut out of the vinyl blank. Another audiophile treasure.
Get an impression about the Phonocut sound quality in the small video below. Of course filmed with VHS video as befits such a recording.
